Current information on COVID-19

Before the above official resolution of October 28, 2020, the rules were as follows (and we assume that these rules will apply again after the partial closure):

For domestic guests:
In Lower Saxony, the ban on accommodation for tourists from domestic hotspots was suspended by the Lüneburg Higher Administrative Court on October 15, 2020.

This means that the relevant ordinance will no longer be applied in Lower Saxony for the time being.

For guests from abroad:

In Germany, quarantine regulations are issued by the individual federal states. Following the coordination of the federal states and the federal government, the Federal Ministry of the Interior created a model ordinance on April 8, 2020, the regulation of which the federal states have essentially adopted.

On October 14, 2020, the cabinet took note of a new model ordinance. On this basis, the federal states should issue their own regulations by November 8th, 2020 if possible.

Current regulation:
When entering Germany with a previous stay in a risk area within the last 14 days, you must

- go to your destination immediately after entering      the country

- isolate yourself there at home until a negative PCR    test result is available (exception: negative test        result is available if the test is not older than 48        hours)
- Send the test result to the responsible health            department
